Burkhalter Sumi - Corridor in the Forsanose factory conversion, Volketswil 2013. I really like the details of this space, the lack of a baseboard where the walls meet the floor, the projecting doors with flush casing and invisible hinges that are surrounded by a small light box, dropped door hardware to make the space feel taller, the white projecting wall and floor swatch that is tinted blue by the glass above, the linear fluorescent strip to the left and overall color pallet… simple and effective.

Suppose Design Office - Numabukuro apartment, Tokyo 2012. The exterior reminds me of the Smithson’s Economist Building. Via.
Diener & Diener - Schönwil housing, Meggen 2013. Via, photos (C) Yohan Zerdoun. From the exterior, the buildings appear to be concrete; however balcony cut-outs reveal wide timber planks and window mullions and details finished to match. Interior flooring switches to a pale marble, and has veining that mimics the wood grain in pattern and scale, appearing to be an un-aged version of the exterior material.
